This is where u can discuss the issue of the GTA (Grand Theft Auto) San Andres "Hot Coffee" mod and how it effects us all and what do you think of ESRB's desision to make GTA rated AO (Adults only) and made Rockstar pull GTA out of stores.

Its not all Rockstars fault, it was a group of hackers who made the mod. But its your opinion. I also never did like GTA, I just didn't.

btw its not the modders fault, it was already in the game, its like a cheat... all it needed to be was unloked so it just stupid for them to put it in there game

Good point, its also surprising that considering Rockstars Rep that ESRB didn't look into the game fully, because the system is like this, the creator films a form, shows a video of the gameplay and tells us about the story.
its also stupid that they make games like Resident Evil4 as a R rated movie, its stupid that 15 year old kids can't play that but is it ok for them to be playing R rated stuff "no".
and ESRB was also like (quote from the creator of God of War) "stupid that ESRB is saying "we got egg in our face so screw you Rockstar" I mean its stupid".
ESRB needs to reavaluat whats a "T" whats a "M" and maybe there should be a rating in between (which there isn't anymore).

It doesn't really matter... according to to the M rating already... most of who does play GTA wasn't sopost to anyway. Who bought those games for you? There would be no problem with voilence in games if everybody didn't open thier eyes and realize its not a game problem its a parent problem... if the parents are going to give little Billy a violent game and he goes psycho over it (which is total bull in the first place... but for the sake of argument...) it is NOT THE GAME DEVELOPERS FAULT!! Nor should the rest of us who are either perfectly sane or so insane to the point of no more harm can come of it get crap for stuff like this. Besides... little Billy has plenty of oppurtunities to get a hard on from little snatches of porn... its called... the INTERNET!!! And they aren't putting any kind of rating on that. I'm sorry... but those carrot-up-the-butt suits should just leave crap alone when they don't have a clue about it... If little Billy is inside cappin' hookers and beating old ladies with metal bats... he's too damn busy to go out and be in a real gang... and games are one of the biggest contraceptives to date... the nerds aint getting no love! I can almost bet games aren't the only violent things in the lives of those school-shooting retards. Violece comes from, not only games, but getting raped with a white picket fence board by your priest while your dad hits you... as much of a screwed up picture that brings, which by the way I got the picket fence raping from a guy on the RADIO this morning!, it serves my purpose in an effective, graphic way.
I get fired up about this stuff... My final point... even though it may not be clear throughout that little speach is: the ESRB pricks should get out and watch tv and listen to the radio and read the newspaper and freakin walk down the street... they'd see that video games are not the only place little Billy is gonna pick up violence and language and sex and crazy exploding radioactive cows... its all freaking over!
I think I am gonna make a point of getting people from the main board to see this topic.

Yes Dragon, also, there are many things that could of happen to prove Rockstar is not at fault, it might be (Just a guess) that a Developer was fired trying to add that so later he hacked the game, put in that section and called it a hack to get people to think that Rockstar had it in there all the time. I play M rated games, parents are ok with that, You should all use ESRB as a guide line, not a law, I mean its ok if they go its M rated so its made for 17+, but they have no right to tell 15 year olds "You can't buy this your too younge". If there was a way I would get this clan to sign a petition to prove Rockstars innocents that its still a M rated game, just because it has Nudeness in it dosen't mean its so horrible. they never play the games, they should do that. Its not like one day Fret (not trying to start an argument on that, it was just a joke when hes AFK) that when he goes to download porn (lol), that he would find a AO next to the file link? that is as stupid as can be.
SCREW ESRB, we play the games we think is fun and that (if you still have a POS [parent over shoulder]) the parents would think its ok. I could of seen Sin City when it was in theatures if I wanted to probably. its not like since Americas army is T dosen't mean that its gonna be restrickted. and I don't know why Halo is M, it has no nudety (lol, unless you see that one cinematech of cortanas butt ^_^) and that its realy realy stupid....
I rest my case....
PS: I wasn't making fun of anybody in a harmful way, its all just an example.

i think it was actualy a really good thing that this was rated A because now the news is talking about it and it gets out there and lets the parents know about this type of thing, i had a friend that was around 9 years old a couple years ago and he had gta 3, now that i think about it, it really isn't a good thing to have a game like that at that age.

God of War had titties in it... but then again... this GTA thing is sopost to be full out sex-education. But I agree Hedrox... there are some things that should wait untill you are older... I won't let my 8 year-old nephew play Halo at my house because it is a little too bloody for him... he plays M games in other places and it is bad. His parents are oblivious... aside from his mom being T rated sometimes ... And Leon... Halo has a mature rating because it is very bloody... regardless of the lack of nudity and language... you can kill a group of ten 'people' in one bloody explosion... there are parts of the game where dead human bodies (thats the thing the violence has a familiar casualty) are all over the place and blood is splattered everywhere. It would be different if it were a game like Starwars: Republic comando where what was being killed is something not real. The human dying thing is what they pick on. It'sa pschological thing.

they didn't actually take GTA for the consoles off the shelves did they?? since It's only for PC..
and anyways. the ESRB rating shouldn't be allowed to tell people that they can't buy certain games if they're too young.. it'd be different if say, the stores wouldn't sell them but that's so they can't get sued or anything like that by parents who are naive and let their kids play whatever they want without checking anything. not that M games are bad or anything though. I've been playing M games for as long as I've had a playstation.. heck one of the first games I ever had was called... Reloaded or something like that. and all you did was go around and blow people up and their body parts would lay on the ground soaked in a pool of their own blood. it was a pretty crappy game though.. anyways what I mean is that just because I played graphic M games doesn't mean that I'm just gonna go shoot people. all the people who've shot people at schools and stuff had PROBLEMS. MENTAL PROBLEMS, PSYCOLOGICAL PROBLEMS stuff like that and weren't able to differenciate between real and GAME. and my little rant is done. BTW, parents and political figures who are too ass-backwards than to know what they're actually talk about when they say that it's games faults that kids kill each other.. are idiots and know nothing about what they're talking about.. THE END

In R movies there aloud to show scenes 50 times worse than "HOT Coffee" and by the M rating it says that it is recomended for ages 17 and up which is exactly the same as wat the R rating is kids can get in if there with an adult. Only adults can buy M rated games. But some stores let u buy M ratd games just because the employees dont care theyll let a kid rent GTA while other stores wont its breaking the law. Doesnt that kind of hint to the parents that this may not be the game for there 12 year old son. Kids shouldnt be playing this game in teh 1st place its the parents fault not the ppl who made the game. The only M rated game that i really think is more of a T rated game and is the only M rated game my mom lets me own is Halo. comon we all know that halo shouldnt be rated M. It just shows blood nothing else wats blood to sex comon.
